Lucas Ferl
I am a research fellow in Prof. Mark Lutter's team, where I have been working since May 2025. I hold an M.A. in Sociology from the University of Wuppertal, where my master’s thesis examined gender inequality in gastronomy using an experimental research design.
My research interests lie in both qualitative and quantitative methods of empirical social research, with a particular focus on multilevel analysis and factorial survey designs. In addition to these methodological interests, my work engages with questions of social and gender inequalities, gambling research, and sociological and criminological perspectives on public perceptions of safety, fear of crime, and subjective (in)security.
